Best Anime Dads Known For Their Sacrifices and Love

Best Anime Dads Known For Their Sacrifices and Love

The relationship between father and children is always full of spices. Talking about girls, they can embrace their dads whenever they feel like. But talking about boys, they can risk everything for their dads but still can’t gather enough courage to directly go and tell Dad to listen, Dad, I love you.

There’s a vast ocean of feelings when we talk about dads. So, in the vast realm of anime, I am touching on a very interesting topic today. I will list some tremendous anime dads who have sacrificed for their children.

This blog will be love-filled, and at the end, you may just directly sit up, go to your dad and hug him. Let’s cherish the boundless power of Dad’s love and start a heartwarming journey.

1. Minato Namikaze (Naruto)

Minato Namikaze (Naruto)

Here comes my favourite dad, Minato from Naruto. He deserves the hashtag one spot among the most popular dads in the anime world. His blue eyes and blonde hair can win anybody’s heart. He can be one’s sugar daddy (LOL).

But we are talking about something else right now.

He is a very powerful ninja, but at the same time, his heart is filled with affection for his little ones. He can do anything to protect his son from evil, and whenever tough times arrive, you can always see him standing right ahead of Naruto, even risking his life for him.

This level of selflessness is truly heartwarming. However, his life is not shown to be that easy, and all his struggles sharpen his character to a greater extent. These hardships and how he faces them make him one of the most loved characters in anime.

2. Byakuya Ishigami (Dr. Stone)

Byakuya Ishigami (Dr. Stone)

Dr. Stone is a highly rated anime, a perfect example of dadship. Byakuya is shown as a very successful scientist and astronaut but is not living a very good life as a father. After getting separated from his son, he faces a lot of emotional challenges.

This separation from his son Senku took thousands of years, but you can see that his love and determination to ensure his child’s protection never faded.

Byakuya highly believes in the power of science and has unwavering hope that the dream of meeting his son will come true.

3. Yato (Noragami)

Yato (Noragami)

Yato is shown as a very powerful God of calamity. However, his role as a father is full of softness and love. He is a very determined guy who never steps back when proving his strength and does everything to keep his close ones happy and safe.

When we pull off the layer of power over him, we find his highly responsible character.

He has worked very well as a fatherly figure, and how he navigates through the complexities of fatherhood is highly appreciable.

I loved his level of compassion and the way he deeply impacted his children’s lives. He takes care of people’s wishes and acts as a good guide. It is truly stunning to see how a guy involved in killing jobs can be this much softer from the inside.

He’s a heart-winning dad.

4. Edward Newgate (One Piece)

Edward Newgate (One Piece)

One Piece is full of amazing characters, and I honestly cannot step back from showing my appreciation for the fatherly character Edward Newgate. Besides being a legendary pirate and Whitebeard pirate’s captain, he is a responsible dad.

He also has a high sense of protectiveness towards his family and the crew.

His character is filled with honour and loyalty, and the way he acts as a powerful guiding force makes him an idol for many.

His physical strength is palpable, but at the very same time, he is very soft from the inside. One thing I love about this guy is that he has equal love for daughters and sons.

5. Kotetsu

Kotetsu

If you have watched Tiger & Bunny, you must have enjoyed watching Kotetsu and appreciated his love and dedication to his little ones. As a typical dad, he is usually tangled up in work, which develops wrong feelings in his daughter.

She doesn’t have any affection for him and feels that he is a liar, someone who doesn’t have any sort of care in her heart for her. However, when the truth unravels, she feels pressed under a very heavy burden of emotions.

We can see Kotetsu displaying his feelings and affection for his daughter in several scenes, and how he balances his work and personal life is truly appreciable. Besides being a tremendous dad, he is also a decent human and helps those in need.

Also, he is a very good husband. His wife, Tomio, enjoys spending time with him and looks upon him as an inspiration. She passed away, but still, you find Kotetsu wearing the marriage ring and keeping his affection for her intact.

6. Jotaro Kujo

Jotaro Kujo

Suppose you have watched Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean. In that case, I am sure you must have appreciated the role of Jotaro Kujo and his transformation from a very rough guy who doesn’t care to a perfect family man.

This guy sacrificed himself twice to save his daughter’s life. It is truly remarkable and emotional as well. In one scene, when he is in prison, where he gets attacked, it is truly something that increases his heartbeat. Also, his fight with Enrico Pucci is remarkable.

He gets a chance where he can finish off the priest, but he will have to let his beloved daughter die in exchange. Yes, he is rational, but he decides not to do that because he loves his daughter very much.

7. Tetsuo Tosu

Tetsuo Tosu

The role of Tetsuo Tosy is so relatable to real-life dads. The setup of this anime is perfect, and so is the storyline. Tetsuo is a very caring dad who prefers spending time with family more than anything else.

However, things change when he finds his daughter has a fishy boyfriend named Nobuto. Now tell me, which dad will accept openly that his daughter’s boyfriend tortures his beloved daughter?

This is tough to digest, right? Tetsuo was going to get angered by this discovery. Hence, it leads him to dig deeply into Nobuto’s past. Later on, he gets to know that he has a very dark history and he has killed many girls.

So, this guy kills Nobuto, and to escape from legal troubles, he hides his body. It leads to some serious consequences as a mafia boss targets him. It is easy to feel his compassion and love for his family, especially his daughter. And killing someone to protect the child is not as easy as it sounds.

I can even relate this story to a couple of movies as well.

8. Loid Forger

Loid Forger

Many who have watched the Spy X Family will agree that they look upon Loid Forger as a role model. He is a spy, but his personality is pretty methodological. He is not an aggressive person at all.

He is shown to be too dedicated towards his work and even shown risking his life many times.

He can do everything to complete the mission regardless of his hardships. He is one of the most followed agents in vice, which is why this organization keeps a huge burden of tasks on these guys’ shoulders now and then.

He is on a mission to protect the world. He was supposed to have a family on this mission, and he adopted a daughter named Anya there. He has no experience raising kids, but his job is tremendous.

He does everything to fulfil her wishes, keep her happy and ensure that no harm ever touches her. Besides being very protective, he is also very dedicated and reasonable.

9. Jukai (Dororo)

Jukai (Dororo)

Dororo is an amazing anime to watch, and one of the characters who attracts the most attention is Jukai, a middle-aged guy who creates prosthetic limbs from dead people. He helps those with missing body parts, so he earns a lot of karma.

Once he sees a helpless orphan boy without vital body parts and decides to save him by arranging prosthetic limbs, he has very terrible past, and it is tough to believe how someone with such a dark history can still have so much love and affection in the heart and play the role of a very supportive father that well.

This father and son bond is very strong, and it is very pure, and why not? After all, this guy developed almost a whole body for him. Later, he trains this little boy in combat and prepares him for the hardships of life.

10. Vincent Phantomhive (Black Butler)

Vincent Phantomhive (Black Butler)

While watching Black Butler, I loved cherishing Vincent’s character. He is a very noble guy from a high-class society, and his classy looks can attract anybody. He secretly works under Queen Victoria.

Even after being so powerful and authoritative, he never discriminates between nobles and normal citizens. He is very fair and compassionate, and that’s the reason he is loved by many.

His wife, Rachel, a noble lady with a very attractive appearance, is very supportive. Their son, Kail, is also very talented and looks upon his dad as his idol.

This father-and-son chemistry is entirely worth watching. Vincent enjoys his father’s support and cherishes his love and way of living life.

He wants to be like his dad when he grows up, and what can be more victorious for any dad in the world?

11. Golem (Somali and the Forest Spirit)

Golem (Somali and the Forest Spirit)

A golem is not a human. However, he is a gentle creature and a dad to a young human girl named Somali. Golem does everything to bring wisdom and affection to Somali, and he does everything to protect her like a typical human dad.

However, he is not built to understand human emotion. Still, he tries very hard to learn how to care and love. Golem is a memorable animated character because of many qualities, which is why most viewers love him.

He doesn’t think twice about sacrificing something for his beloved daughter.

12. Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto is the most famous character in the anime world, and he is not just a dad to his kids but also the whole village. After becoming Hokage, he leaps to change his life after marrying Hinata.

They have two kids, one of whom is Boruto. This dude is the main character of Boruto: Naruto’s Next Generation. Naruto struggles to juggle responsibilities as a father and a Hokage.

You find him fighting with time a lot of times. He tries to bring the best for his kids, but at the same time, he has to think a lot about caring for people who are not blood-related to him.

Naruto has faced a lot of hardships in life and remembers the old days when there was almost no one to take care of him. He feels that his kids must now never be in a situation to feel anything similar.

13. Rei and Kazuki

Rei and Kazuki

Birdie Daddies is undoubtedly a very attractive anime, but not to everybody’s taste. However, those who love it love it a lot. If you are one, you must have enjoyed the two main characters, Rei and Kazuki.

They are ruthless assassins who work as a team by splitting their duties. Kazuki is mostly into gathering information and carrying out various assassinations. Rei specializes in shooting and is very dominant, even in hand-to-hand combat.

They have tremendous love for their daughter, Miri. You can easily cherish the softer side of these guys when Ray feels sick. In one scene, I enjoyed the setting where Miri eats the cake baked for a mission, and Rei doesn’t show any offence.

This shows how balanced he is in terms of emotions and responsibilities.

14. Maes Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Maes Hughes (Fullmetal Alchemist)

Here comes another adorable dad who perfectly balances his affection and duties. Maes Hughes is a very talented soldier, and all the characters around him like him a lot. The murder scene in this anime leads to a sharp turning point in Hughes’ life.

When he gets promoted to the rank of Brigadier General, it is worth watching how he balances his work life and the responsibilities related to his family. He spends much time away from his loved ones but never shows affection and care.

You can see him sharing his family stories with his fellow soldiers many times, and he carries many pictures of his family he shares with his fellow soldiers. He fits perfectly for the role of a dad.

15. Jouichirou Yukihira (Food Wars)

Jouichirou Yukihira (Food Wars)

Jouichirou Yukihira, the very talented guy, is the head chef at Elite Ten Culinary Academy. He appreciates taking risks; sometimes, these risks lead to dangerous consequences, but they add extra spice for the watchers.

It is very amazing to see how dedicated he is. He always puts in his efforts, and his sense of never stepping back is something we can implement in our own lives. He has a special love for his friends and students.

He has a very strong bond with his son, Soma Yukihira. Soma is also a very talented chef but finds it difficult to lead a pure and successful life like his dad. Jhoi supports him not just as a father but also as a teacher in the path of life.

This incredible bond teaches us a lot. It’s even a lesson for many dads who don’t treat their children or support them that well in the waves of life. What I enjoyed the most in this anime was their open interactions.

Yes, Jhoi has some flaws, but his dedication to his son is heartwarming. He also enjoys playing video games with his little one.

16. Soichiro Yagami (Death Note)

Soichiro Yagami (Death Note)

I know most of the credits are taken by the lead hero and the villainous characters in Death Knot, but I am a different type of anime watcher. I love to cherish any anime series from various angles. Let me be honest, I truly appreciated the role of Soichiro Yagami.

He is a very hardworking police officer who believes in bringing justice and peace to the people. When his son gets in the shade of suspicion, he does everything to protect him. These risks were not small at all. He compromises with his honesty as well.

He is a very intelligent and determined character. Let me share the basic plot if you have not watched this anime. Light Yagami is a talented high school student who gets a notebook dropped from another world, the most mysterious thing possible on earth.

He just writes names and how he wants to kill them, and the book automatically kills these people in the same style. This is truly an amazing power, isn’t it? He uses it to get rid of the criminals on Japan’s streets.

Yes, you got it right. The father is a detective, and the son is indirectly a criminal only.

So what does Soichiro Yagami decide? Is he a perfect dad or not fulfilling his professional responsibilities? Can you say he’ll be able to balance?
