These are girls who naturally manifest and display boyish characters. They are just normal girls, having everything that shows they are women except for the character, behavior, and all distinguishing qualities of a guy.
At some point, we can say that genetically, it is a man in a woman’s body, lol. I’m just kidding. You guys, what do you think about tomboys? What is a tomboy?

1. Sora (Digimon)
On our list today, we have Sora at the top. Don’t tell me you don’t know her, lol. When she first appears, this girl lacks trust and does not believe in herself.
She thought everyone was just talking about her being weak and useless because she could not protect her loved ones. The moment she learned and accepted how loved she was, she became confident and boosted her self-esteem.

Despite having man-like traits, she loved and protected others like a mother figure. She was pure at heart and tender, making her the most amazing and lovable tomboy character.
Sora is one of a kind; the word no to someone needing help does not exist to her. She doesn’t care, even if it costs her health and peace. She will still offer help.
2. Yuuko – Nichijou
She has a certain thing in her that shows that she lacks common sense, making her appear like a fool. Yuuko is the best character of all time with her man-like behavior in the show.
She is also different from other tomboys who feel ashamed of who they are and what society thinks. The reason was that her behavior, character, and traits matched the energy of her role.

Yuuko is a humorist. She is fond of joking and playing practical jokes which involve some action. It makes her capture the hearts of many, and her tomboy character steals the show.
She’s also an inspiring and adorable anime character with some sort of independence. This girl doesn’t fake anything or try to impress; she is always herself.
3. Misty (Pokémon)
She’s the worst because she never cared about how she looked or appeared like any other girl, not even a little bit. It is one of the toughest, and she is a hard nut to crack. Misty is quick-tempered, making it possible and allowing small things to trigger her.

This girl is the typical and real definition of a tomboy; I bet you should see this one for yourself. On this, I thought I had seen it all, but no, she always had something for me in stock.
It’s only one-quarter of her time that she is feminine. For the rest, she’s a great Pokemon trainer. She dresses and rocks like a guy, and people should keep their opinions to themselves. Misty believes it’s her life and her rules, and no one else has a say.
4.Yoruichi Shihouin – Bleach
Imagine being so charming, with the beauty and cuteness overload, but you are a tomboy. So why are you attracting people lol? She is not alone; she also turns into a cat for some time.
Regarding brain smartness, no one can stand her logic and reasoning capacity. The most amazing thing about her is that she is humble; some have even told her to call her by her name without a title. It makes her different from other leaders who are full of themselves.

The fun part is with her tomboy nature and character; she doesn’t like getting involved in wars. Her favorite part was to help after the war, putting things into place.
Yoruichi can only join the battle if her team is on the losing side. She is a good trainer and supervisor when training people to fight. She is undoubtedly crazy; she used to change into her human form in front of Ichigo only to see how he would react.
5. Minene Uryuu – Future Diary
Guys, this is one of the tomboys you would never want to mess with; she will show you your place. She is very scary, frightening, and coercing any word you might think of, even a bully.
She is one of those who never put effort into showing that they are feminine. The reason is that no one cares to know because she is always putting on masculine clothes. She’s sick in her head, and this girl behaves crazy; no one dares to be against her.
No offense, but this one, she is a man in a woman’s body because everything she does, she does it in a masculine manner. Minene is even weird and strange, giving her a frightening appearance.
She uses force and violence illegally as a terrorist. As long as you cross her path, she will deal with you mercilessly and doesn’t care. To stay out of trouble, stay out of her way, or you will regret being born.
She is always wearing a scary, frightening, and coercing face all the time. But she also has some heartwarming moments; she is so sweet regarding children and animals.
6. Haruka (Sailormoon)
This one is more than proud of who she is. No matter what others think about her, it does not affect her. Haruka willingly accepted her true self; yes, she is more masculine, and life goes on. The difference between Haruka and other tomboys is that sometimes she wears female clothes, though it’s not always.
She wore a boy’s uniform at Mugen Academy the first time she came into the picture. She never cared to clear the air with people who addressed her as he; she was okay. Imagine she was even a racer; most of the time, journalists would address her as a man, but still, she was proud.
However, we also see her wearing her school skirt, which looks weird; what do you think?
7. Haruko Haruhara (FLCL)
This courageous, determined, unforeseeable girl is not exactly human but a female. She is too masculine, which makes her perfect for her job. Haruko also shows some moments of emotions, and it’s so heartwarming.
She is too wild and violent; she is also confused and full of disorder sometimes. There is something that she loves most, which is skillfully controlling people.
Sometimes, she controls people absent-minded for her benefit, which gives her happiness and joy. On the other hand, she also helps others by training, advising, and giving a mother’s feelings to those in need. Most of her actions are in her interest and benefit, no matter what harm it will cause others.
8. Bulma – Dragon Ball
This girl is the face of the show, which makes her get the leading character role. She had some superpowers, and her ability to apply knowledge and skills to her work made a wow. Bulma’s ability to focus on the most important things makes her an essential requirement of the show.
Bulma is even married to Vegeta despite being a tomboy. She is still friends with her ex-boyfriend Yamcha, though she even has kids. Bulma is also fond of science-related stuff; getting involved in everything makes her unique. This girl is different from other tomboys. She is enthusiastic about inventing science-related materials.
9. Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
She never disappoints when it comes to creating boundaries and limits and not allowing people to cross boundaries. This was why most of her group members would talk about her because of her bad behavior.
Her appearance, the way she looks, is just amazing and pretty cool. She should be rated among the coolest tomboys in the anime world. Erza is a very short-tempered person with no patience at all.
She has one eye, but still, she is never insecure about her looks. The reason behind her behavior is because of her chaotic childhood sufferings. This girl feels so special being part of the Fairy Tail.
Her fellow guild members thought she was weird because they didn’t know what happened to her. This one will make your day if you are looking for an introverted tomboy.
10. Yuzuki Seo – Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-Kun
I wonder why she chose to behave like one because this girl’s beauty is beyond expression. She is so fond of basketball, making her a sporty person, and she got a nickname. Yuzuki is more rude, which somehow offends people around her.
This girl has an angelic voice; when she is singing, even the deaf will hear. I like how she is so helpful to her colleagues with all their extra academic activities. She is always honest and not scared of expressing her feelings and her mind.
11. Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan)
She’s one of the most famous anime characters because of her tough, intimidating, and uncompromising nature. This kind of behavior of hers captured the hearts of anime lovers.
After the brutal killing of her family, she moved in with Eren’s family. Mikasa is one of those people who can go miles and sacrifice anything for those they love.
Her friends are her weakness. If you want to be cool with her, just don’t mess with her friends. Even though she wanted to live in peace and harmony, she joined the military to fulfill her dream. The only thing that made her look like a tomboy was her appearance after joining the military.
12. Ukyo Kuonji – Ranma ½
This girl is the perfect example of a tomboy. Ukyo Kuonji is a female with too much masculine manners and behavior. This girl is confusing because, most of the time, she is masculine, and on rare occasions, she is feminine. How she was so good at being a tomboy even helped her hide her gender from Ranma.
It was not easy for Ranma to know about Ukyo’s true gender. She even had to be at a school only meant for boys and was introduced as a guy.
Unfortunately, to get Ranma’s attention, she had to work hard to be more feminine to attract him. It showed Ukyo’s sweetness, but she continued with her tomboy life after getting Ranma.
13. Hajime (New Game)
There is no doubt or need for explanation; her appearance says it all. I am confident you agree with me, so don’t disappoint me. Her hair is short, which is perfect for a tomboy; the only thing that makes things fishy is her big boobs. If it wasn’t for the boobs, she was going to be introduced as he in the show.
She is obsessed with superpower characters and spends most of her money buying toys. These toys are figures of those anime characters that she is fond of. Hajime lacks that softness that goes along with femininity; this is shown in how she greets her colleagues.
14. Amanda O’Neil (Little Witch Academia)
This girl is wild and is always on the opposing force, whether at school or home. Her pleasure through the satisfaction of her desires is what comes first and most important to her.
She is talented and very smart, but she is full of pride. Sometimes, her pride leads her to display her tricks in a boastful manner full of pride. Amanda is a girl who is fond of sports and takes it at its best. Unfortunately, she is kind of naughty because she sometimes commits minor crimes.
15. Touka Kirishima – Tokyo Ghoul
She’s one of those tomboys with contrasting personalities. Touka has a violent, uncontrollable anger, while, on the other hand, she is big-hearted and tender.
This girl is unfortunate that her personality is not of a tomboy but her appearance. What does she look like? Well, she has a short haircut. Boys, not girls, characterize this haircut, making it more tomboyish.
Having uncontrollable anger is something that she never wanted, but since she lost her father, things have changed. To live and survive, she had to be cold-hearted.
16. Revy (Black Lagoon)
She is one of the worst; she is ruthless, intimidating, and brutal. Revy can kill anyone in cold blood without any remorse or feeling bad about it. It seems like she doesn’t feel this girl is a typical monster among humans.
All that she thinks about is violence and how to make others fear her and live in fear. Her cruelty is beyond words; her comrades are the only people she shows little generosity to. These comrades were the only people she ever protected; she was just being loyal, not protecting.
Revy doesn’t care about anyone. As long as she is pleased, life goes on. She drinks and smokes a lot. This girl has got a lot on her that points out that she’s a tomboy, and it’s not something to argue about.
17. Nagisa (Pretty Cure)
This girl is amongst the most famous and classic anime girl characters. To try something new, Nagisa came in with the role of a tomboy, which looked perfect on her.
Her greatest wish and desire was to be the same way Honoka was. Fortunately, her dream came true as they started getting along with Honoka.
